PROPERTY AND AMENITIES:

Nestle at the foot of Burnaby Mountain in a highly desirable quiet, North Burnaby executive neighborhood, you will find a modern Asian-inspired one bedroom suite furnished with everything you will need in a home away from home, whether you are here on vacation, for work or study, or needing temporary accommodation. This central location is about 13-minute walk to Lake City Skytrain Station, close to highways, SFU, BCIT, movie studios, golf course, parks, hiking trails, lakes, and Burrard Inlet.

This recently renovated one bedroom suite is on the basement level of our family home.  It is fully furnished and offering the following:

NEIGHBOURHOOD AND LOCATION:

We live in a unique and highly desirable neighbourhood of mostly large executive homes.  It nestles at the foot of Burnaby Mountain among towering evergreen trees and friendly neighbours.  We are in the urban City of Burnaby, part of the Greater Metro Vancouver, but with a suburban feel. This neighbourhood is perfect to come home to relax and recharge in a tranquil environment after a full day of activities and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  It's a perfect place stay among the locals. There is a small neighbourhood park a few houses from us. A small shopping plaza about a 15 min walk or 2 minutes by car. The plaza has a grocery store, pub, wine store, Domino's Pizza, pharmacy, hair salon, professional office, and a restaurant at the adjacent golf course. We are conveniently located between two large shopping malls, Lougheed Mall to the east and Brentwood Mall to the west, both are about 5-7 minutes by car or 2-3 Skytrain stations away. There, you will find many choices of shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, banks, and other amenities.  If you want a round of golf, the popular and challenging full-size Burnaby Mountain Golf Course is across from our neighbourhood. If you like nature or hiking, a number of easy trails are just steps from us, such as the Burnaby Mountain Trails and the Trans Canada Trail. Burnaby Lake, Deer Lake, Burnaby Village Museum, Barnet Marine Park, Burnaby Mountain Conservation Park, Port Moody, Coquitlam, and New Westminster are just a short drive away. BC's second-largest university, Simon Fraser University (SFU), is about 8 min drive or 20 minutes by transit from us, while the highly sort-after technical school, BCIT is about 10 min drive away. We are also close to a number of movie studios, such as Mammoth and Lion's Gate, as well as business centers, and sports complexes, 8 Rinks, and Burnaby Winter Club Hockey Academy (BWC).  

GETTING AROUND:

- 13 min walk to Lake City Skytrain Station which will connect you to many places by skytrain;

- Bus is about a block away;

- 45 min drive to YVR or 75 minutes by Skytrain;

- 30 min by Skytrain to downtown Vancouver or 20-25 min by car;

- 15 min to Metrotown or North Vancouver;

- 20 min by transit to SFU or 8 min by car;

- 10 min drive to BCIT;

- 7 min to Lougheed Mall or Brentwood Mall where you will find many grocery stores, restaurants, and, other amenities;

- 5 min to Costco;

- 1 1/2 hour to Whistler;

- 2 hours to Seattle;

- easy access to highways;

There are lots of 24-hour free street parking in front of our house.

There are steps on the side of the house and a set of stairs leading to the suite, as such, not suitable for those with mobility challenges.  Please see the photos in my listing.

We have a beautiful friendly medium-sized Labradoodle dog, Cosmo. You may see him playing in our garden and occasionally you will hear him bark if he sees someone new or sees a squirrel. If you are nervous about dogs, please let us know and we will limit his presence outside.

We live at the foot of Burnaby Mountain, a small portion of the way from the Skytrain station to our neighbourhood, about 200m is slightly hilly.  If you have mobility difficulties or have heavy luggage it’s best you catch the bus across the street from the Skytrain station or hire a car or a taxi.

Our house is located in a residential neighbourhood, away from commercial centers. The nearest grocery store and limited shops and eatery are about a 10-15 minutes' walk from us at the Greystone Plaza as described above.  Both Brentwood Mall and Lougheed Mall areas have lots of shops, restaurants, grocery stores, banks, etc. Costco is one Skytrain station away from us.
